Mesh Banners FAQs
Take a look at our Mesh Banners Frequently Asked Questions. For general artwork, payment queries and company information, please see our General FAQs section.
What is mesh PVC?
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a plastic vinyl material which is ideal for banners – it’s lightweight yet strong and flexible and able to withstand most weather conditions. This mesh form has hundreds of tiny holes, which protect your banner from the wind by promoting better airflow.
Do you use Dye Sublimation Printing?
No, due to the speed and finish, we print all our mesh banners using high quality UV inks.
Dye sublimation is a digital print technique that uses heat to transfer dye onto paper (and other materials). UV print is a form of digital printing that uses Ultraviolet curing technology.
Can outdoor mesh banners be recycled?
PVC is recyclable; however, you will need to check with your local recycling facility to see if they are able to accept it.
Are these mesh PVC banners weatherproof?
Yes; our mesh banners are printed on external grade mesh PVC with UV-cured inks. This means they are waterproof, windproof and resistant to sun fading.
How are pvc mesh banners printed and supplied?
We print all our mesh banners in-house using our large format digital printers. Once printed, they are trimmed to size and hemmed for additional strength. Heavy duty metal eyelets are then added for easier hanging.
What are pole pockets?
A pole pocket is a continuous hem running along the top or bottom (or both) to allow you to insert a pole into your printed mesh banners.
What are wind slits?
A wind slit is a C-shaped incision that allows wind to pass through which helps to avoid damage to the banner. Our mesh banners are already designed to let wind pass through easily but wind slits would be recommended if you’ll be hanging your banner in an exceptionally windy location.
What will I need to use to attach my banner?
Using the eyelets as a fixing point you can use, cable ties, rope, bungee cables, hanging clips or screws and washers.
